This is one hyped beer that I just do not understand.

I think the hype has a lot to do with the process of making it. Continuously hopped for 2 hours straight...man.
I've heard it gets better with a bit of age which goes against my IPA thinking but with that many hops and that high of an ABV who knows.
Personally when I got one I didn't care for it too much...but I'm really glad to have experienced it.
Now their WWS...That's one I will be getting again. Even though it smells like rotting garbage and the taste punches your tongue once you get past the intensity you have a symphony of flavors from it.

I am not defending it, as I said, I loved it on draft and hated it in the bottle so I am on the fence. I just think some beers can not be categorized and that is one of them. Same with Palo Santo Marron. It's classified as a Brown Ale but there really is nothing else like it to compare it to.

Case sitting at my beer distributor. I split a case a while ago with a friend. Whole foods had it and I saw some in jersey the other week. Does not seem hard to find the last six months.

    Enjoy

I had it on draft and enjoyed it, out of the bottle I could hardly finish it. Letting them age and hoping for the best. From what I have heard from distributors and people who have been to the brewery recently, it will be pretty regularly on the shelf from here on out because of expansion and they have the recipe "right" in their eyes.

They actually had to dump multiple batches...not just the one you saw on Brewmasters. I think it was 3 of 4 or 4 of 5 that were dumped. That's why there was such a long gap in production and distribution. Now it's back to business as usual.

Just got label approval for Tx, there has been a drought here since 09, personally I have had multiple aged and fresh, love them all (Better with age)

Yep. This beer was permanently on shelves, typically with numerous vintages, for years. Then the damn tv show, and everything Dogfish Head was wiped clean from most stores. There was a giant bad batch of 120 or something too, which didn't help with inventory. Now, the beer is back to full production, everybody has tasted it and realized it is not the reincarnation of Zeus in a bottle, and now you can get as much as you want again.

Just curious what does a bottle go for at a typical store out east?

120 Minute is good fresh, not aged. Sorry had to throw in my $.02

I agree with the OP though, last year around this time I wanted some and had to trade for it, now every store I go in central NJ has 4 or 5 of them, on the shelves no less.

Does anyone know if this stuff makes it out to California? I have seen WWS one time out here and it was behind the counter for some exorbitant price.

That's what I have seen it for most places. Except when I bought a 4pk that they rang up as 90min and I spent 15 on 4 of them. Bought it with other stuff so I didn't notice till I got home.

I just grabbed 2, never had it, thought I would try one fresh/one aged. I've never seen them sitting on the shelves in SE MI despite the high price tag for a 12oz bottle, I guess everywhere is different.

120 min used to sit on the shelves in my area because no one would pay 12$ for a bottle of beer. Now it disappears and usually store owners keep it behind the counter. That being said the recent shipments have been sitting...but our area has seen a flood of 120 lately.

NC has a shitty law where the abv prevents its sale here. I'll take it however I can get it.

I can definitely get it if you want some Lantern. I just shipped one to NC today...

I loved it on tap at Rehoboth and at the DFH Alehouse in Gaithersburg, and the bottles I have acquired were all good. I just can't get enough of it. I don't want to drink it every day, but I'd love to have a bottle when I want it. Maybe we can work something out!

It used to be $7.50 at the brewery and brewpub but DFH raised their prices to $9. So anything between $9-$11 other retail places should be expected.

I agree with the statement that it's not a very good beer. I appreciate the novelty of it, but I don't think it deserves the attention that it gets. People new to the craft beer scene seem to lust after it like me for Mila Kunis.
