I have heard a few reports of the 13 BVDL potentially being infected or having major issues with its taste. Has anyone had this experience, and if so would the trade value of a 13 vs 14 BVDL be different? Thanks, just have heard it is hit and miss on the 13 and wasnt sure before I pulled the trigger on a trade since it will require so much of my beer to land. Cheers and thanks for any input
14 is underwhelming. 13 is hit or miss right now. Either excellent or drainpour. 12 Might be your best bet at this point.
I drank a '13 on new years last year and it was one of the best beers I've had. I've also heard of issues with '13, and heard from 2 people that have done side by sides it tastes much better than '14.
Cracked a 13 open this fall and it was one of the best beers that I have had IMO. No infection or green apple taste (infection) that I had with a few bottles of the regular 13. Only regret is that I shared it with so many friends (just kidding!), we all thought it was amazing.
