Lol...have you ever seen a cascade on a bottle list? Like $70. Seriously.

I guess it's justified based on the retail price of the 22oz bottles, just tough to swallow $29+tax and tip for a $12 bottle.

Datz in Tampa does about a 50% mark up (1.5x). Right now you can get bottles of Marshal Zhukov for $20 and BA Big Sound for $40.

i would pay 20.00 all day long for zhukov at a restaurant...split the bomber with someone and you only pay 10.00 for a world class beer. when i go to datz, i know i am going to spend a nice chunk of change anyways, so it wouldn't bother me a bit.

Been a long time since I was in the business, but I believe these cost factors still ring fairly true. Normal cost factors for a restaurant have domestic bottled beer running 24 to 28% for BMC and their ilk. So if they sell you a bottle of Bud Light for $4 they made $3 on their $1 bottle cost. Craft should fall more in line with 40-45%, which is the normal markup on wine. If they sell a $12 Zhukov for $20 that's a good deal for the consumer. If they get you to spend $20 on five Bud Lights, they net $15. Spend that same $20 on a bottle of Zhukov and they made $8. Using the 45 % normal margin on wine, a $12 bottle of Zhukov would come to $27. Here again the restaurant nets $15.

I wonder what the bottle cost on a GG Is, I suspect much less than the $12 retail price.

For what its' worth, when I went to pickup my order at Luekens last week, they said they had 15 cases allocated for online ordering (which was posted in this thread) and it lasted 5-10 minutes. Looks like we'll see double what we saw for MZ but still expect it to be scarce.

I for one am tired of only being able to get CCB's seasonal releases at TW. Especially when it's a 20 minute drive on I-95 to get a single bottle.

TW by CCB has some. Picked up 2 bottles earlier, as well as a 6er of Bells Mars, which I hadn't seen in FL yet.

TW Boca still had at least 1 case left tonight when I stopped by. They also had the Due South Magourdo, I grabbed a four pack of that as well. Anyone tried it yet?

Magourdo is great, much better than the majority of other pumpkin beers down here

great to hear. I've been very pleased with the latest Due South releases. I really enjoyed the Cat 5 and the Caramel Cream. Definitely a brewery I'll be searching for the limited releases more aggressively from now on.

Total Wine Colonial just got their shipment (8-9 cases). Also got Terrapin Pumpkin Pie Porter at same time too.

Magourdo was a good drinker, nice that its in cans as well, conveniant to crack one open at the end of the work day. I had a few cans of their Cafe Ole, was a solid beer as well, but wish it wasn't quite as limited.
