Missed it at a couple of stores this week. Any sightings in the area or insights into if this is related to last weekends beer festival or an ongoing thing?
I've never seen anything but the amber and stout here myself. I don't know whether it's because Tribute sells out quick or because they don't ship that one down here much/at all. I'd love to be able to find it. It's great stuff.
I think Tribute has just started being distributed in MA. I expect we'll start seeing it delivered regularly, though how long it will last on shelves, I don't know. I overheard the beer guy at Pemberton Farms mentioning that they were finally going to be getting it in, so I don't think it was a one-time thing. Hard to think of a better year-round VT DIPA in MA distribution. I think it stacks up pretty well with the local shelf competition, too.
I don't think the amber or stout are anything great myself, but Tribute is the real deal. Definitely worth a look even if you haven't liked the other stuff.
I was talking to the beer guy at a smallish-store yesterday and he said that to get Tribute you had to agree to large allocations of Valor and the Maple Stout, neither of which move very well. I can't vouch for the accuracy of what he said, but it would explain why you don't tend to see that much Tribute down here.
I haven't seen it in MA. But I just came back from VT, and it is now in every gas station and widely available. It used to be much more scarce. I bought a 4 pack, but it's a beer I don't love really. Doesn't hold a candle to most of its in state competition.
