I'm thinking about drinking a 2016 Black Tuesday I have, but am worried it may still be too hot. A friend who had a 2 year old last fall told me he thought it was still too hot and didn't enjoy it. I'm interested in if anyone who has had BT this fresh would recommend drinking it now?
    Thanks!

    Corey,
I've had every year Black Tuesday since the original one (2009) and just want to say I don't think any beer that's 40 proof will ever be be void of some heat. The later versions such as your 2016 seem to be more finished right out the gate (fresh) than some of the early vintages. I have found some of the heat to die down after 4+ years but I still wouldn't call it a session beer! That being said while I think BT ages very well I vote drink it now to enjoy the stellar barrel characteristics.
    Cheers

I’ve got an 09 and some ‘14s I’m sitting on myself and wondering roughly the same thing. I agree with @IKR , the heat is going to be there always, think of it like a Baileys or something. I can’t remember if I thought it had the sugar and mouthfeel along with the heat as it was more dominant when we tasted it at less than a year.

I drank a 2014 last month and it was easily the best BT I've had thus far. Tasted incredible.

I'll tell you what wasn't good that has to do with BT. Melange No. 3, 2013 vintage. Woooof.
