Open your bottle and try it. Just because it has one of the dates does not translate into a 100% guaranty of infection.

I've had 10 of the infected dates so far, and only 2 have been unpleasant.

I opened a bottle with a date that matches the infected ones not long ago and it was fine.

I opened a bottle with an infected date last week and it was nasty. Regardless, there's no (additional?) health risk to drinking infected bottles.

Maybe no health risk, but damn - I had an infected beer last year and it took a full day to get the taste out of my mouth. It tasted a bit off, but was about done with it before it became obvious that it was infected.

Ryan, GI says there aren't health risks, they are just off flavors, but let's be honest, for some of people who didn't get refunds it would be great if someone died from drinking infected product so they could institute a new refund period. Bottoms up!

    ...Thanks?
I feel a bit like less of an idiot, so i'll throw the dice with the possibly infected one once i can find a bottle of 2016 BCBS.

I had 8 bottles all from the same batch that were infected. All I picked up was the slightly tart, slightly berry flavors that should not have been there. But the beer was still enjoyable and drinkable, albeit much less than it should have been.

Not sure how your bottle was previously stored @gclaw4444, but if you're going to sit on it for a little while, I'd recommend refrigerating it just in case. It may keep a possible infection (sorry, "off-flavors") from becoming more pronounced.

I'm excited for this years batch. BCBCS is one of the finest if its kind. Additionally, the BCBBW is different than previous years. I can't not look forward to this time every year.

Does any one know the usual availability of BCBS in the Indianapolis area? Thanks

Search the Great Lakes forum - I know there was a thread for Indy last year.

I'm guessing the price is still $9.99/bottle (around my way it was $9.99 last year). TW just emailed me about reserving one bottle for a BF-12/4 pickup. The perks of a multi family grand reserve membership is about to pay off. /end sarcasm. No real mention of price at all either.

I remember the days I could walk in and buy a case. Now there is just so much corporate hype about it.

Now it just simply seems like that one TW is releasing the regular variety only (no mention of anything else). I guess the hunt and calls can begin

Don't complain. It was $12.99 or higher everywhere in my neck of the woods last year. You could buy a case of it at the release party in town, but it was $15 a bottle.

I wish they would do BCBS in 7 oz. stubbies. Perfect serving size.
