I'm not sure about the MSRP, that's why I had a "?." Some mentioned 12.99$, which is stinky after everything that has happened, but in all honestly still a great deal for one of the best BBA stouts out there. At $10 everyone should be a case to hoard.

Just drank one today, no berry flavors at all, just Vanilla bourbon and chocolate goodness...a bit less carb than last year and noticeably sweeter, but very good nonetheless.

CRAP. My trusted local bottle shop just called to tell me their distributor got word they will NOT receive ANY BCBS this year cos GI had to throw a bunch out. BTW I live 60 miles west of Indianapolis in Terre Haute. I have 2 reg 15s left over that are fine but was hoping to get a few '16..

My price sheet doesn't show any reason that a bottle of normal BCBS should need to be $12.99. Based on the sheet I'm looking at, should be a comfortable margin at $9.99 again this year. Your market may vary.

I've heard similar reports from people who have talked to distributors in Eastern Iowa. Certain markets in that area (Waterloo/Cedar Falls and others) will NOT be getting any BCBS this year.

So just to clarify, Maple Rye isnt happening, it's only gonna be Chicagoland Prop? So no other variants beyond coffee and barleywine this year?

I dont know what information needs clarifying. You have it directly from Goose Island What Happend to Scotch and Maple Rye. As well as what is being released this year.

All I could find says "the beer aging in rye barrels wasn’t “ready for extraction when we tasted them, so those are continuing to age,” Jankoski said. No further information was available about the version of Proprietor's aged in Scotch barrels." So it's not really clear what is going on.

I'd like to see one piece of substantiated information that goose island has been dumping tons of bcbs.

I find it hard to believe we will ever get that. Lots of people post notes about friends or GI employees or distributors saying that BCBS has been dumped, but I don't think it's ever been confirmed by GI (I could be wrong). Whether you choose to believe those notes about dumped BCBS is up to you.

Im sure some gets dumped every year. Sometimes barrels just dont do what you want them to do. I find it extremly hard to belive it is any substantial quantity. We here this evey year and every year there is more and more available.

We'll ask GI directly at Prop day.

My distributor is getting 60% less BCBS than last year so that would lead me to believe that they dumped quite a bit. Doesn't make sense otherwise. I went from getting 22 cases last year to 5 this year. Lame.

Pretty common theme. I read they were more selective on barrels so that limited production.

Who knows man. All I know is that my paycheck will not be going to GI next week. I'll buy one or two of each, minus prop, and be content. I'm over Bourbon County this year...

    And to think just a few short years ago my full allocation from Binny's was(12oz format): 4 x2012 bcbs, 4 x 2013 bcbs, 4 x 2013 bcbcs, 1 x Prop, 4 x bcbbw....and you could sub/swap out 4 packs if I recall correctly.

For sure more selective. They already said they didn't use any "Devil's Cut" barrels for this year's BCS, as those barrels are more prone to growing unwanted bacteria due to lack of leftover spirits, which help keep bacteria out.
