I find it funny that even hardcore beer geeks still judge a beer's perceived value largely in part by its ABV. I understand that price is dictated partly by the cost of ingredients and more ABV = more ingredients, but it still seems strange that so many are willing to pay through the nose for certain styles while others seemingly aren't worth it, even if they're just as well crafted.

True to all of that. I don't judge on ABV, I tend to judge on style. And I have never had a witbier good enough to justify a price this high. Except maybe Kili Wit from Logsdon, but then again, that had the most exquisite drying finish I've ever encountered, so it's in a different class.

It's okay but not on the level of his other beers, which I felt were mostly worth the higher cost for something unique.

but this is not your average wit
    although to many
    that is not saying much

regardless, I've no idea the fair bottle price
but I can say I've tasted it and it was delicious
    an absolutely delicious . . . . . . wit
Pizza Port Ocean Beach had this on tap last Thursday
I've not yet posted the A review

I may like it more than most folks because I also think Prior 8 is delicious
and this has a slick backbone shared with the Prior
    delicious
    cheers

Just get it on tap somewhere. I got a taster pour for $4 or so.

With that said, yes i would buy it again. And sometime you gotta pay alittle extra for something really good. Craft beer is not a cheap hobby!

I know it isnt cheap and I really dont have a budget when it comes to buying beer...it just seemed really high for that style. I have no problem paying 16-20 bucks if I personally think the beer or style would be worht it.

My GF bought a 6 pack of hopslam for either 28 or 32 bucks earlier this year in DC. I probably would have paid that much if I had the chance.

$2.39 for a single 33 cl bottle at my local Whole Foods. I think it was about $12 for a four pack though. Go figure.
