Do you think the Ballantine folks would have helped an enterprising young homebrewer?

    From the Sierra Nevada website:

“1969 - Ken buys his first homebrewing kit (and hides it from his mom—he was a teenager).”

"1973!" WTF! Where do you get this information! (And ain't it about time to check your union benefits website and find out where the new Prescription Eyeglass location is?)

Hey, look. Nobody's accurate anymore. Falstaff's nearest brewery was in Cranston, not Providence, R.I.

What were the beers shipped via The Cape of Good Hope to British Colonial soldiers in Afghanistan and then India (until 1947)? Did they really hold up because of heavy hopping? And which brewers fashioned these long distance warrior ales?

Especially because of the connection between Von C and Schmidt's. (Schmidt owned the Robert Smith Ale Brewery after ca. 1890 [it was located at 38th and Girard, near the Zoo).

I missed that one, but I really enjoyed the 1855 East India Porter and the 1901 KK Ale

I saved a bottle of the KK and was overwhelmed at how it transformed with time.
    All in the best way.
    Cheers
