They also announced very firm limits to attendees. If you expect them to stand by their word, then why would you think they should give you more allotment just because you attended the party?

No where on their website does it say that the bottles will be exclusively sold at Barrel Massacre.

Before they deleted all the non-positive comments on Facebook, they responded to someone who asked if bottles will be available after the event, and they said no, bottles are only available for purchase at the event. Since the comment has since been deleted (presumably by 18th St) it's up in the air whether they will be available to those who didn't pony up for a ticket.

Many of their facebook posts say "available only at Barrel Massacre 2016".

Not that it is legally binding or anything...but as I understand it they have said more than a few times that selling bottles after a ticketed event was a mistake and they weren't going to do it again this year.

Did they really increase the cost of this event? Per below, it's basically the same, assuming you were going to buy the 7 beers on draft. Myself, I don't think I'd take down 7 beers in that timeframe, so it didn't quite make sense (plus I wasn't thrilled with the beers offered). So, I don't think you should expect anymore exclusivity than you had last year.

Lol. Seriously? Way to #buildthehype - delete anything you don't agree with. Just stick your fingers in your ears, because if you can't hear the criticism, it doesn't exist!

Maybe I'm missing them but I can't find any of the comments and questions, including a few of my own asking about the cost of the DD tickets, to which no response was received.

If you drink all 7 that you're being charged for, and get your bottles, and take place in the "other things" that are apparently going on(?) in a span of 120 mins, then congrats. I'm guessing I would have to slam a couple at last call to reach the intended value of my ticket.

I was not questioning whether the price and that which it includes is a good value. It's not imo. My post was in reply to another post which neglected to even consider/mention that there are other things included in the price of the ticket i.e., I'm paying $70 only to then pay more money for bottles.

I gotcha. I'm going to be done talking about this event now. It gets my blood pressure up.

HAHA... I laughed at the Facebook post that session 1 was sold out... so they banned me from their Facebook page for doing so... Oh well! I haven't lost any sleep over it.

The deleting of negative FB posts made me laugh so effing hard. They are taking a beating on this one, and they are in damage control mode.

Anyone ubering the 2nd session from the Orland Park/Frankfort area? Wouldn't mind splitting the cost.

I think we're all more interested in hearing how shitty the barrel massacre event was.

Is it sad that I panic bought a session 1 ticket without thinking about pricing/whats offered and now I don't even feel like going?

Probably will go buy bottles, maybe have 1 beer on draft and leave

We're the same person except mine was session 2. The email came out today with the draft list and I'm interested in 3 of them.
Was going to uber there and had a ride set up to get home, but weighing the pros/cons of uber cost against trying beers I'm not interested in, I'm going to just drive myself. My BAC won't get above .04.

This was mentioned in the DLD thread, but wanted to bring it up here as well. There will be multiple sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols in Lake County this weekend. And, my guess is that Calumet Avenue (which is always heavily patrolled in Hammond anyway) anywhere from North Hammond to US 30 will be a prime target.

Please take the appropriate measures to not end up with a DUI this weekend.
