I agree with you to some degree but then why schedule it for the night before DLD when thousands of people invade NW Indiana? Seems a random weekend would be more conducive to local and small.

Never attempted to justify their logic but every brewery in a 25 mile radius piggy backs off the event. My thought is only based on them having a small space.

I don't think it has anything to do with keeping it local. It's a very small operation with 15 total employees (several of which are brewers and bartenders and likely have nothing to do with event planning) and is just over a year old. This is the first event of this caliber that they're ever doing and there are thousands of people interested in attending.

Anyone that knows Drew knows that he's a perfectionist that's going to get it right. He could have thrown the information out there, sold a ton of tickets, and had a disaster on his hands. People would be here bitching about 18th Street like they do 3 Floyds.

I get that people will be frustrated and want to make plans ahead of time. Plan on being here Friday and make a plan B in case you don't get tickets. The details are going to be announced in the very near future.

^ This - I can't open up facebook without seeing 100's of comments from people about the FFF dark lord day ticket fiasco with shipping, they had TONS of time to plan and didn't get that right....18th is small and they care about getting it right. Personally, I'm taking the day off work regardless - FFF isn't far away so if I don't get tix for this I'll just head on over there and deal with the horde of ppl waiting in line to buy non-DL beer since they aren't selling it on DL day...hope they have a huge selection...

Session 2 is actually third of the day AFAIK (LOE gets in at 10 am), so we're going to be purchasing that BA brown ale, I suspect....

I'm hoping they hold back some bottles of each variant for release. I suspect they will as they run a pretty top notch operation.
