So I put up a bottle of hunter cherry up for trade. I got a crazy amount of offers. People were offering way over $4$. I went with a trade that landed me some IPAs I never had. Just wanted to let people know 18th has a good trade value. Also glad to see 18th St getting love.

Awesome. I keep all my 18th street bombers bagged and boarded. Glad to know I was making the right move.

It doesn't need to taste good to trade good unfortunately. Not saying that is the case here though

Throw 18th Street bottles in as extras. Spread the word!

I'll be doing that this week actually. I have a box coming from Portland, and I'm sending a Cherry Hunter back with the other bottles I'm sending. I love that brewery.

Thanks for reminding me why I went to Four Fathers on Saturday instead. I'm getting tired of all the unnecessary hype with every single new release, and the commodities exchange mentality that often ensues.

Good to hear! I'm about to extra a Vanilla Hunter myself, even though I REALLY want to drink another one

I missed bottles of vanilla, but was fortunate enough to find it on tap at La Margarita. Very, very good beer.

Just got some cans of Sophomoric Saison and Garce Salee in a simple trade. Excited to stop by 18th St next time I drive up to Chicago.

Do you throw in a bottle of Astroglide as an extra?

Yep - the commoditization of beers that has developed in the trading scene is ridiculous. I'm simply amazed at the amount of people on here who seemingly have no problem with trading a $15 bottle of beer for $100 worth in return. If I go through a lot to get a beer, that is ultimately my choice...and regardless of its perceived "value," I am fundamentally incapable of this line of thinking. Now if someone wants to offer over $4$ for a beer they are dying to try, then that is their prerogative I suppose...but it's certainly disheartening to see the ISO:FT forum flooded with so many people trying to get the better of one another. Seeing someone brag about "how much I was able to get bro!" (especially for a beer that wasn't the least difficult to obtain) is frankly, nauseating.

Well if anyone happens to have a cherry or vanilla hunter they want to swap hit me up. I'll throw whales bro! .....not really but I've got some good brew.

Were these Hunter Cherry and Hunter Vanilla special brewery only/limited releases? Im not familiar with them at all.
