Sort of surprised to see no feedback on this new place here. Drew is making some nice stuff here, mainly big and hoppy IPAs. His trademark so far, though, is his double imperial milk stout, Hunter. Huge with malt and chocolate notes. Super convenient stop in Miller, which is an artsy section of Gary (no jokes please!). Heck, there is a South Shore stop right there. If you are traversing NW In, put this on your tour list.

I had Hunter last time I was at 3Floyds and made me want to visit the brewery next time I'm up that way.

    I was very impressed

Going on Feb7. Hoppy IPAs? Yes, please.

Are there bottles for sale? Or just growlers?

Saw the post on Facebook...I was there before and purchased a half growler, or bullet for carryout. Either something changed or that's a Sunday thing, maybe because of a Gary regulation or something.

I would recommend this place too.

I'm glad this place is getting some love. Drew is a good friend and he's worked so hard to get to where he is. All of his beers have been phenomenal and what's on the horizon sounds glorious. Great people, great beers. Definitely stop by there.

They fill bullets with everything they have. He temporarily suspended filling in preparation for the cookout last weekend.

On the NICTD train convenience factor. This promises to be a beautiful thing once it warms up to hit them during the day and wind up at Millennium Park for a concert, or film with a howler in tow.

I had Sinister once and it was awesome. If it was easier to get I would definitely buy more of their brews. Funny how they are in Indiana and I live in New Lenox and stull have to drive to Chicago to find their beer. You would think we since I am closer we would get their beer.

not splitting hairs (or is it hares?) but NW Indiana (or actually 18th street) to downtown chicago is about 35 miles, new lenox is about 40 some. Chicago is a bigger market then New Lenox sooo.... Also too, since he's self-distributing he's getting the best bang for his mpg buck. But your right, not getting Half Acre, 18th street, or other gems from Chicago isn't good for the south suburbs. Maybe you'll get some love someday, its not like there isn't a big market there, as seen by the 40 fellas outside binnys on a monday for darkness.

Why line up in front of Binny's when the local liquor stores had it.

Plenty of new subbie breweries out there or in the pipeline. Be a homer, buy their liquids and encourage them. Learn to love your local beers!

They fill whatever is on tap. Right now, that's Octave IPA, Moonwalk DIPA, Lake St Express Pale, Steelhands mild, and Hunter imperial milk stout. Just stop...You won't regret it. Heck, you're stopping at Three Floyds too, so you're not going home empty handed anyway.

One Trick Pony, FFF and now 18th Street all in one shot. That's a nice trifecta of breweries along 80 now.
