18th Street Brewing

Love One Trick Pony. Really underrated, IMO; I hardly ever hear anyone mention them.

As for 18th St., good beers, but I've only had a chance to go once. It'll be great in the summer, as it's very close to Marquette Park, which I highly recommend if you want to spend a day at the beach.

 

So I've been trying to find some info on this Hunter Vertical Series. Can anyone point me in the right direction or do the copy/paste favor and post it in here? Basically I'm wondering how often they're going to be released, any future planned variations, etc.

Not much information except for FB post from last weekend and website. Going to be a series of 8 all featuring various treatments of the Hunter base beer. No updates as to what / when...

Sorry, but driving through Gary is still scary to me. It is a former murder capital of the world.

I wish they had more bottled stuff (bombers) at this point, because howlers are heavier to mail.

I really think 18th Street may already be in the second best brewery in NWI behind that one in Munster.

They like to say Gary, but the brewery is actually in Miller Beach. It is fine. Grab you balls, salute the flag, and go.

I stopped in yesterday for there Grand Opening and their beer is legit. Hunter and Deal with the Devil are amazing.

 

They had growler fills yesterday, but only on a select set of beers.

 

Coffee Hunter was the first in the 8 part Vertical Series. I was told they were going to be released quarterly over this and next year. A few different flavors as well as a couple of different barrels coming up in the series. I don't want to give it all away, that'd be no fun.

 

I want them to release bottles again. I miss their beers. Galaxy Slayer, Deal with the Devil, Sinister. All great beers.
