So people what did you think about the 1st ever Willow Grove Fest this past Sunday June 3?
I was the Lancaster Brewing Rep in black shirt.

The fact that Steeeve didn't know about it points out one flaw. It was not advertised very heavily. I live less than a mile away, and only found out about it at the last minute. Good thing about that is it wasn't crowded at all, no waiting in lines for beers.
Overall, I'd say they did a pretty good job for a 1st annual. One thing that come to mind for the (hopefully) 2nd Annual would be actual tasting glasses, rather than disposable plastic cups. It also would be nice to have more people from the breweries present. The volunteers were all nice, but some had no idea about what they were pouring and just referred to the description on the placard.
I'm looking forward to next year to see if they can improve.

Yes I saw no signage at all and lukcy the website www.wgbeerfest.com had said it was nice to Dick's Sporting Goods and yes sampler glasses or even plastic ones would reduce waste and it's those 1st year not knowing how to advertise glitches and hope they have another one. They could have had small signs at the Mall and made out like crazy or one on the blank billboard where the event was held. All in all small crowd and great beers = good times

$35 seems awfully steep for an event where Landshark is listed under the "craft" section.

Actually there was a pretty good amount of advertising done, considering the event was only funded by sponsors and all proceeds went to the Willow Grove Community Services. Advertising is expensive. It was a great event and it went for an even better cause. I'm sure next year will be better, it is their first one. I'll go again for sure.

I live down the street from the mall and never heard about it till I read this tonight. Would not have paid $35. Maybe next year I will hear about it and I will want to pay to go.

    Enjoy
