Hello everyone! I'll be taking my first ever trip to DC this May, and was looking for some recommendations for beers/breweries to look out for in the DC area, particularly stuff I cant find up north in CT. Thanks!
Local breweries worth hitting: Right and Proper; Blue Jacket. Both are metro accessible where as DC Brau, 3 Stars, and Hellbender aren't. Store suggestion: Craft Beer Cellar (metro accessible) The best beer bar in DC is probably Churchkey which can also be metro'd to. I'm not sure if you have the time but you may want to drop in to Baltimore and checkout Of Love and Regret (Stillwater Artisanal's bar), Oliver, Union, or any number of other things north of DC (I'm thinking Down Town Crown [Gaithersburg] or any of the myriad of breweries in northern VA or Leesburg, if you can deviate that far). Aslin is a definite hit if you have the time, etc.
DC beer calendar may also list some events. Would recommend Meridian Pint, brookland pint, and smoke & barrel for venues. Think they all show up on beer menus.
