I have a brief time in LA and was wondering if someone could recommend the best breweries and or craft beer bars that are closest to the airport and Venice Beach areas. Thank you in advance
Question: Will you have a car? If not, then a lot of the stuff will be either in Manhattan Beach or as far up as Venice.
El Segundo Brewing in, um, El Segundo, and Smog City, Monkish, and Dudes in Torrance are all proximal to LAX (proximal by car that is). For Venice I like Larry's for the food, tap list, and layout. There's also Venice Ale House if you want to sit on the Boardwalk and have your flight served in a skateboard. Also there's the Library Alehouse in nearby Santa Monica.
You'll probably want to stick to the South Bay, hit Smog City, El Segundo, and Strand breweries, and Naja's to finish the day.
