Wow, I completely disagree. Pliny after probably 6 weeks is a completely different beer to me and I don't drink it. I've had it with 8 weeks and thought it to be a terrible shell of one of my favorites.

You should have thrown it in the trash. The flavor starts to fall off after the 23rd hour.

I didn't say the Pliny was "pretty good" I said, or meant to say, even after 2 months "I" thought it was still better than most other IPA's I've had.

I agree that it has fallen off some from being fresh, and given the option I wouldn't "save" my pliny for two months before drinking.

    Just my observation.

I just got my first Pliny (and supplication). Its date 6-7-12... i gotta say for they hype this beer has, this one must fall off fast. Seriously Meh.

The flavor changes significantly between week #2 and #3, then again after about a month. This is just my experience. I prefer it in the 3/4 week period when the pine goes down a and the citrus comes out a bit more.

You are right on both accounts. 2 months is a little too old for this beer but even fresh I tend to think meh.

I had my first one at two month's age, wasn't very impressed, but I'm also not a huge hophead. I think it definitely is the most overhyped beer in the World, but I also see it from the viewpoint of people who love IPAs. I'm just not a fan.
