Hello all, Work will have me spending around 2 weeks in Hanover. I'd love to see how the craft beer scene has changed since my last adventures in Germany 3 years ago. Any recommendations? Breweries, bars, beers? What should I look out for? I'll be coming from East Coast USA and I'm intrested in getting my hands on some good German beer. That and if there is a store with a good haul of Belgian beers, I'd love to know. Thank you for your time!
https://www.facebook.com/craftbeerkontor This is the place to go, every few weeks, they do an event called “Harndrang” where they get a guest brewer in to present their beers. There is also a beer festival from the 18th to the 20th of May.
Harndrang...LMBO. That's funny. Otherwise, Hannover is the Mojave Desert of German beer, probably just as hard to find something crafty outside of @jonb5 's suggestion. Good luck!
I've had a couple Beers from Mashsee Brewery and i'd recommend most of their lineup. Hannover is an odd city anyway. Not really known for it's Beer culture, more for producing an insane amount of Politicians (not exactly the most liked species in Germany).
