$20 Beer Shopping Spree

I just picked up the following at lunch:

Brown Shugga
SN Celebration
Schlafly TIPA
FBS

For $20, I could pick 2 of the above. I choose Brown Shugga and TIPA.

$19.95.....YEEEEEEEEE

 

Since you are only giving me $20 to work with here, I would go to where I work(off duty of course) and make an afternoon or evening out of it with 5 pints of beers from our 48 taps since I get half off for pints plus $1 tip per pint. That's what you call effective use of little money!

 

I need at least 50 dollars no matter what I am planning on buying.

 

Brew York City Growler Bar (Duane Reade on 72nd and Broadway) always fills 64 oz. growlers for $9.95. I filled a Flower Power last time I was there. Also have Sculpin.

Meanwhile, yesterday at Whole Foods Bowery, I filled a 32 oz. growler of BCBS for $17 ($18.50 including tax).

 

wow..the man speaks the truth..never saw Sculpin or FP @ DR..but i hit Bklyn one..and that is hit or miss at best on the quality of having a growler filled..good jobCF5

Quality over quantity to the extreme for me...id get a can of heady for the marked up 12 dollars it goes for here...and a 7 dollar pint of lunch...1 dollar short oh well

 

$20 is the perfect mix six amount! You might even be able to swing 8-9 singles. It gives you a limit and thus will make you choose more carefully. Good luck!

 

a six pack of sierra nevada torpedo extra ipa and a mix six of 4 point beyond the pale ipa's and 2 new belgium accumulation white ipa's, as i just did this weekend. the accumulation's i haven't had before. i went in to get a six pack of beyond the pale, but they only had 4 singles left, so i asked the store manager if i could take a couple accumulation's from a six pack to make my pick six. he said i could split any six packs $8.99 or under to make my pick six, which is $8.99.

Would probably go the sixer of something I like to drink everyday and a nice bomber or 4-pack of something. The suggestion above is very much to my liking.

 

A bottle of Sue, a 4 pk of La Fin du Monde, and a Mondo Red...

 

4-pk Allagash White, bottle of Rochefort 10, and bottle of Ayinger Celebrator. Good to go for a week.

 

6 pk of Shell's Snowstorm and Summit Unchained Biere de Garde, plus a bottle of Vitus/Hefeweizen...and still have change.

 

i would be a bum all week until i earned $5 so i could purchase a case of DayTime for $25 =)
