For $20 I could get a pint of Rhinegeist Truth and a growler to go at the brewery. Would still leave a $2 tip.

Well today I got American Beauty and Kvazir for 20. Earlier this week it was St Bernardus Christmas ale and Rochfort 10. Last week was Lindeman Framboise, Northern Hemisphere Harvest, and Suede........ The point is I usually only spend $20 at a time anyway.

$20 isn't much of a spree, but for $20, I'd go for in my area:

Sunken Island IPA (Kenai River) $10.99
    Panty Peeler (Midnight Sun) $7.99

If you rose it to $50, I probably would have gone with a growler at my growler store, between $10- 15, grab a 6 pack of the Sunken Island IPA ($10.99), a bomber of Arctic Devil by Midnight Sun ($14.99), and throw in a block of chedder cheese for $4.99.

    Cheers.

8 bucks to something from Green Flash, or 12-14 bucks to something from Oskar Blues, call it a day and save the next 6-12 bucks for tomorrow.

Depends on what country I'm in. In Australia that would only get me a sixer of coopers stout or 3 330ml rodenbach grand crus. In the US Im like a child in a candy store. Just arrived in the US today and spent awhile in Bev Mo. Got a sixer of Brown Shugga some velvet merkin and a few different bombers of IPA. A fair bit over $20 but worth it.

I'm getting a $20 gift card soon at my beer store after spending $500 on non-sale items. I've only lived here for 10 months. :S

4 pack of Myrcenary and Old Rasputin.

Dude, I won't even pretend otherwise, if I'm down to $20 and still looking to drink, I'm buying a 30 rack of Busch and biting the bullet on a terrible hangover the next day.

Have to admit, not positive about the Sculpin, but definitely the FP is $9.95 a growler fill, along with most of their offerings. If the Sculpin was more I'd go with Southern Tier 2x IPA, i know that's $9.95, i just got some last weekend.
By the way, why does everyone automatically assume that if you say you're from NY you are a city dweller,or as we here in God's Country of the Adirondacks sometimes refer to them, Flatlanders?

Basic math. 95% of New York State residents reside either in NYC, Long Island, or with a 30 minute drive of NYC (Westchester, Dutchess, etc.)

Stugotzo, and spent the first 31 years of his life in Rochester (and 4 years in Buffalo).

Funny- I just spent $20.60 at the bottleshop mixing a 6pk. Just got some new & seasonal stuff- nothing crazy, but always fun to look through a couple hundred bottles and pick some out. Making a 6pk is probably the closest one can get to a spree for $20.

Got a Dominion Morning Glory Espresso Stout, Clown Shoes Tramp Stamp, Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin, Thirsty Dog Bernese Barleywine, Weyerbacher Heresy, and Dark Horse 4 Elf!
