$20 Beer Shopping Spree

This is tough to answer because $20 is usually what I spend when I go to a new bottle shop to just "see what they have". (Unfortunately my wife is learning what that means...) But lets say I was heading to a friends and only had a $20 in my pocket...

$10.50 for a sixer of Two Hearted
$7.50 for a bomber of Unearthly
$2.00 for a random 12oz I've never tried

 

2 Deviant Dales(roughly 6$), Stone RIS(3.99), Bigfoot 2x (5), Hop Stoopid(3.99)

Of course i'm weak and total wine still have Love Child for 18$....that might be my spree.

 

If the MBC is sold out I'm sure you could donate your change to preserving the world or saving gorillas. That gansett will taste so much better.

 

A local growler. Hopefully they have something good on tap.

 

I'd head to my local Total Wine and clean them out of marked down old seasonals that aren't hoppy. I once got 6 Dieu Du Ciel Solstice D'Hiver for $6.00 there.

 

I would probably go to the stone store and get a 40oz growler of Enjoy by, and maybe a a two liter growler of their levitation red ale.

If the rules were that I could only buy bottles, probably would grab a bomber of lagunitas 13 for 8 and then 3 Weihenstephaner's at about 3 bucks each.

 

Sour in the Rye, since I've decided not to buy any more $20 bottles of sour reds or browns, just sour blondes\lambics\gueze for me.

 

I went on a $20 "spree" this week at the local liquor store...grabbed a 6 pack of Cigar City Florida Cracker ($7.99) and then on my way out was shocked to see a 4 pack of Terrapin WnB sitting there for $10.49, so I grabbed that too. Total came to just under $20.

Another option is to buy $10 in lotto tickets. If you win, you can buy lots more beer. If you lose, buy a cheap 6-er

 

Bah - they'd just turn around and use the donated funds to buy NPR tote bags.

 

Two decent six packs... I don't know of what until I stare at the coolers for at least 5 minutes.

 

Certainly not exclusively but I do need to replenish my Two Hearted cache often and I really need no excuse to drink Wild One.

Quantity: 5 sixers of Old Milwaukee pounders at $3.99 each(I'd have to scrape my pockets for tax and deposit)

Quality: I'll say a sixer of Torpedo and a 750 ml bottle of Maudite, or some other combination of a sixpack and a bomber.

 

Stores are willing to sell at that thin of a profit margin? It's like they're dong charity work.

 

Just got back from the local Total Wine to pick up some local stuff to send to a friend and (for just an extra $3.85/total 23.85) got the following:
a) 2 Brewer's Art Resurrection cans
b) 2 Brewer's Art Ozzy cans
c) 2 Yards Brawlers bottles
d) 2 DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus bottles
e) 2 Union Craft Balt Altbier cans
f) 2 Union Craft Duckpin Pale Ale cans

Not a bad bang for (a little over) $20.
