5 minutes? You're quick. I guess you're either in a smaller store or if it's a larger store, you don't walk back and forth several times.

But those stores may not paying $3 a can at the brewery like the rest of us do. Also - things are cheaper in Vermont than they are in NY. Like rent.

Yeah, but they sell out of it so quick they never have to risk losing $. Plus, people are always likely to buy other beers when they're at whichever particular store they're purchasing Heady. At least that's how I see it.

Eh, depends. Rent and utilities are more expensive in VT than in most Upstate NY towns that I know of. Obviously not as expensive as the city, but most places in VT aren't cheap.

The store really gets that much better of a deal than people showing up at the brewery who pay $75 for a case?

How much cheaper could they be buying Heady than $3 a can?

I believe dar482 is from Long Island, where everything is expensive and most of the residents think it's the same everywhere.

If I can't drive to Alpine & spend it on draft there, then I'll drive over to Beachwood & Smog City to drink up theirs, cheers!

I don't have a clue. Just speculating. Besides, how long do you think it sits in the store? And besides, it's a magnet; if you know a store has Heady, you'll be there and will probably buy something else as well.

Then yes. Big time. VT is certainly cheaper than LI.

4-pack of Hoponius Union and a couple Weihenstephaners should do it.

a 30 pack of Genesee from Beers of the World; with tax and deposit would be $ 17.68. Add two 24 oz cans of Genny Cream Ale and the the total would be $ 19.93.
