    Some OGs swinging hammers in here. Good to see so many.mainstays here. Congrats to @slander , and glad to see familiar faces like @LarryV and @cavedave still around. Sometimes WBAYDN seems like it's full of strangers anymore.

    Hmm, let's see.
    The first craft beer that I really made mine was Dock Street Amber in '91, and the Brooklyn Lager not long after that. A year or so later, I found the Brooklyn Brown Ale & Pete's Wicked Ale so then I was Brown Ale guy.
    Mid 90's, it was Grant's Perfect Porter, Sam Adams Honey Porter, Oregon Blackberry Porter, Sierra Nevada Stout, Redhook Double Black Stout, and then a year or two later, it was Ommegang Abbey. I'm thinking Porter, Stout, & Belgian Dubbels (and Tripels/Belgian Strong) through the end of the 90's as craft beer began to crash.
    In early '00-'01, I found the Saison (Dupont). How did I not know about this before?!?!

    I'm thinking when I joined BA in late '01, I was still drinking Browns, Porters, & Stouts, and Belgians & Farmhouse (before American breweries were really doing them save a few OG players).

    I wouldn't know Lambic for another 2 years yet when I stumbled across a new bar in 'burg called Spuyten Duyvil...

    It's been a long time, @slander. And yes, you're crazy AF. But thanks for sticking around and helping to keep Places alive.

    Looking forward to raising some beers together again. Maybe next year in Brooklyn?

    Congrats and I would definitely enjoy tipping back some brews with you one of these years on my visits to NYC (I recall trying to meet up about 5 years ago but it not working out). Maybe next year in Brooklyn I’ll join both of you :slight_smile:

    I am a 20 year BA as well; actually joined the same month as you in 2001. First of all, the time has passed too quickly, and it is remarkable how the beer scene has changed over the past 20 years. One thing has not changed, and that is the quality of Beeradvocate.com. Let's hope for another 20 years!
