I honestly have no idea how much of this is out there or what a fair offer would be? I've had the pleasure of having it once (stumbled across one at a store in KS back in 2011) and it was decent, though obviously aged. That said, I seek one of these for an upcoming vertical my friend is doing. He literally has every Bourbon County bottle of note...except for this one. I don't want to embarrass myself in the forum...can anyone give me some perspective on this guy? Thanks!
About a year and a half ago I traded an '08, '10, and 2x '11 BCBS for one. It's a tough get but I don't think people are too unreasonable with it, as most people agree that it is a shell of its former self (confirmed at the tasting I had it at). My $0.02.
IMO, not worth giving up what it will take to get. I wouldn't give up KH+ for the one person I found willing to trade when looking a few months ago. We ended up starting with 2006, and it was fun to have in the vert, but not on par with the rest. We def all agreed that 5 years seemed to be the max with BCS. Mark is right, shell of its former self. Don't give up too much trying to get it.
Pre-2008 ages worse I've found (twist of caps) than 2008+ , at least in my limited experience with 2006,2007, and 2008 bottles.
