So I had thought all these had disappeared, but I found one in the cupboard earlier today. Any opinions from anyone who has aged one of these for quite some time? Debating if I should drink it or see if anyone wants it for trade/etc.

Recently did a 06, 07, and 08 vertical. The 06 held up very well. 08 was easily the best, followed by 06, then a distant 3rd was 07.

PS - the album leaf are a great band!

06 was drinking pretty shitty a couple weeks ago - 07 wasn't much better (multiple bottles 06->12). I'm 100% convinced that BCBS, like 95% of beers (yes, I made up that number) hit their peak within 3 years. Anything beyond that is catering to our Pokemon/OCD beerhording nature.

Don't trade it man. The beer nerd in you has to be dying to know how it's held up. Pop it with a friend and find out!

Did a 5-12 a few weeks back. 06 was better than 05 and 07, but still not very good, well past prime.

Also agree with Surly, 3 years is right in the wheelhouse for BCBS.

I'd be up for trade if you're interested.. Was going to do a 07-12 tasting soon and would love to add 06 to the mix. Let me know if you're interested. I still think that 08 is tops in my opinion, never had 06 though.

Exactly what this guy said. Did an '05-'12 with the same concensus. '06 was better than '05 and '07... but still not very good.
