A bar near me says they have a 25oz bottle of this beer, and it's $18. I recently drank a 12oz and loved it, so a large format bottle for $18 would be a steal!

But, a google search yielded no hits as to whether this was ever released in a large format. Does anyone know anything to the contrary?

    Thanks.

You could ask to see it at the bar...

Indeed. It's a bit of a trek from my apartment, though, so I was hoping to do a little reconnaissance ahead of time. I'll give them a call, but I've been given misinformation that way before...

I've just about given up on this beer. I've got two `12s left and wonder if they'll shape up over time. This post helps encourage that I should keep my hands off.

That's a sweet bottle. Thanks! Looks like a trek is on my agenda.

I would definitely go for it myself.

The bottles in my pic are from 2002 (at 20% abv). They only bottled it in 750s in 2002 and 2003, then went to the 12oz format and the cowboy label.
If you find a 750 for $18 that's insane (and you should most definitely buy all they have).

It specifically says 2007 25oz bottle on Beermenus. I'm guessing they entered it wrong, then. It's not a bad bar price even for the 12oz, but yeah.

Had a 2002 out of the 750ml (as shown in the above picture) back in May and it was spectacular. I have a 2007 12oz that I'm holding on to until at least 2017. Even if the bottle at the bar is a 12oz, I'd say it's worth it.

Sounds about right. 2007 is the last year they made it so there's more of those floating around than any other year.
