So, I have what it supposed to be a '07 KBS. It has the old style label, but I can't seem to find any printed bottling date on the bottle. Were bottling dates printed on the bottles in 2007 and if so, where should I be looking exactly?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't think they were printed back then, in fact I'm almost positive.

don't know if this is legit but someone told me for the bottles there are numbers that are at the bottom of the glass that are actually raised numbers as "part of the glass" and there are 2 numbers that should be the yr before the vintage...example I have a 2009 Kbs...the number says "08"...I also have a 2010 KBS and the number says "09"
I believe its the glass manufacturer date which is a yr. before its bottled..
    maybe...

Thanks. I'll have to check out the bottle manufacture date system to see if there might be any correlation...

I had a long writeup on bottle dates/codes for older Founders bottles (FIS, KBS, BWB) on the old site, but it's no longer accessible. 06, 07 and 08 were the years for the old label. Two digit bottle dates for those years are 05 (for 2006/initial release), 07 (for 2007) and 08 (for 2008), I'm almost sure - will check my bottles later. There is also a julian date on the bottom of the bottle that tells when the glass was manufactured (it corresponds to the 2 digit date). Founders 1st quarter releases (FIS, KBS) often use bottles that were manufactured in fourth quarter of previous year, hence the 2 digit for those beers doesn't always correspond to actual bottling date.
