I picked up a bottle today and was curious as to what people thought of this vintage. It's 3-4 years old and I was wondering what people thought of this brew at this age. The price was great so if it's a little past it's prime or if it hasn't quite gotten there then I won't be too upset. Interested to hear what you all think.

Never had one, I have a 2009 bottle I'm planning to age the full recommended 5 years so I'll see what I get in 2014!

The only one I've had was one that my friend shared with me over last Christmas. Don't remember the exact year, but I believe it was something like 2-3 years old. Probably more like 2. But I remember thinking it was SUBLIME. I gave it a quick score on here of a 5.

I had a 2000 vintage in 2006 and it was one of my highest rated beers of all time. Be patient. You will be glad you were.

I had a 2000 vintage a couple months back... and it was still amazing.

I've had a 2007 and 2008 so far. The '07 was amazing, easily in the top 5 best beers I have ever tried, the '08 not so much. If I remember correctly it had more of an herbal bitterness that didn't jibe so well with the toasty malt character and fruity notes, but it may just have been in a weird place. I have another bottle that I'm sitting on for a while so we'll see.
