So, how is it doing, any reports? Just saw one at a store today, should I buy it?

Not a lot of help but I had one about 6 months ago. It was sweet and boozy as hell, I could see this one going the distance. I'm pretty sure Samichlaus can age for 8+ years. If the price is right, go for it.

I recently drank a bottle from 2000 and it was holding up like a champ. 4 years old is nothing for this beer in terms of aging potential if it is/was stored properly.

I've only had at one year, big mistake. Straight up ethanol.

Five years minimum on that stuff I say.

That's my fear. You can never know.

Anyways, I have a 2010 here. Guess I'll buy it, buy a 2012 when it's out and have a small vertical.

I had one last night, its absolutely fantastic. Really sweet, dark fruits, raisins. This is the second one I have had in the last week, my local shop has one more bottle and I'm going to buy it next time I'm there.

This thread reminds me of my excitement when I saw a shelf full of Samichlaus 08 for 2.39 per bottle. And the store offered 10% off six singles. Super investment

    2.39? I could only wish.
