What's this trading for these days? I know there were only 96 bottled and haven't seen any trades in quite a while for one.

    Thanks

Hmm. So not Whalez? Something like Bcbvs out of the picture? Or a few decent bottles (vintage bcbs, very wild peach, prop)?

I got a vertical of 2010 - 2013 last year from a generous trader that snapped them up at a vintage bottle sale at the brewery. We basically went $4$ in a big trade that was primarily limited locals. High quality, but nothing as high demand as Prop or wild peach. Granted, 2009 is smaller bottle count so higher on the rare scale, but I don't think it's any higher on the demand scale. Doesn't much matter that there are less of them if a proportionately smaller number of people want them. And the problem then becomes finding that rare person that really wants the beer ... which isn't easy.

My hunch would be it wouldn't trade for something of prop demand. I think your best bet would be to trade it for something desireable that you don't have and want from the same region - North / South Carolina. Why? Simply because people there are more likely to value it as part of a vertical / want rare Coast bottles. While they're a great brewery the national rep falls far short of Westbrook's (though they really deserve more attention IMHO).

    Good luck!

I don't know why I "winked". It's gonna be a hard one to snag, the majority have probably been drunk. Also someone sitting on a bottle like that has probably been in the game a while and can find prop and wild peach without giving that up.

I have one and I've been trading or looking to trade my 'whalez-ier' bottles for quantity of stuff. Just did it with an 09 BT and both parties seem very happy.

Seems hard to throw a value on for me but I appreciate the help here.

Again, I think your best bet is a quantity of SC / NC stuff. And since there is a lot of good stuff to choose from, shouldn't be too hard.
