Just curious if this would trade for sours such as lebleu, Beat or cascade sours?

Doubt it, as I was able to pick some off the shelf last summer in Atlanta in multiple stores....but you never know if you can find the right trader.

Cork and Cage or capped? They did both in 2009.

The former would easily land that stuff. The latter maybe. Some Cascade sours are actually easy shelf beers with some distribution. They kind of sit around in MA.

This one has a cap. Thanks for the info.

Cascade Kriek, Apricot, and The Vine did make it into distribution on the East Coast a few years ago, but I haven't seen them replenished at the stores that used to carry them and sold out. That being said, a 2009 La Folie 22 oz bomber might be able to snag one since those beers are being made continuously so they are not that hard to get. LeBleu was ~1500 bottles this year, so that will be tough and I don't think you have a good chance of making that trade

I feel that it would. 09 was the last year they didn't pasteurize. As far as I know it's the same beer as the cork and cage version but that's when they started transitioning to the 22oz. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems weird they would've pasteurized some and not others of the same year.

Likely the beer is flash pasteurized in the bottling line. The beer passes through a small bore tube that is really hot to heat the beer to high temps and then almost immediately cool in another temperature exchanger and then it's carbonated before it's filled into waiting bottles. I would guess that they NB would pastuerize La Folie if it's running through the same equipment they use to bottle clean beers to prevent contamination and infection of otther beers

They've said the they started that pasteurization in 2010. The same year they stopped making the cork and cages. I guess they probably did pasteurize since it went thought the bottling line but they might not have. New Belgium said they starred pasteurizing after a batch went through the bottling line and had an infection issue. Maybe this was the last bottle run to make it through without pasteurization. If its not then yes I think those trades would be easily done.
