2009 Matt (Bottleworks X)

I've had both batches(not the 13') several times. It would be foolish of me to make a statement like that without having tried it. Because its bottle condition the way the beer ages will be slightly different with every bottle honestly so it's not impossible that someone had a good bottle. I'm just commenting on my experience with the beer.

 

What were the issues you had with the BW X?

 

I first had X Halloween of 2011 and it really blew my mind great layers of flavor great dark fruit notes. Having said that I've had two since. The second about a year after the first and those layers of flavors just became a muddled mess just a malt bomb essentially. The last bottle I had was taken over by some significant oxidation. The latter one I definitely question storage issues but can't say for sure since it wasn't my bottle. The few times I've had the 2010 batch it has been excellent(still have one left that I need to drink ASAP me thinks).
