Has anyone had one lately? How hoppy is it, and what was the flavor profile like? Thinking of potentially pairing this with some meats and cheese; also, the person I'm sharing with doesn't like hops.

    Thanks!

I had the distinct, er, "pleasure" of doing a decent-sized vertical a little while back, and they all taste the same. I think SN's QC is just too good for this to really age. I thought every one was a bitter awful mess, but if you like bigfoot ymmv. (I would, however, really not recommend sharing it with someone who doesn't like hops.)

Thanks stupac. I had a 2012 fresh and then again recently with a year on it, and I (unfortunately) agree with you that both were a bitter awful mess. I am/was hoping that it would have smoothed out after 3 years. This particular beer was a gift from a friend

the secret we all don't want to acknowledge:

SN's switch from screwtops to normal caps killed all bigfoot verticals. unless you like the bigfoot chimera (not the IPA-as-barleywine of fresh, not the caramely/good-oxidized barleywine of aged), the new caps seem to have added a lot of cellar time requirements. apparently they let in way less oxygen.

thankfully, i love bigfoot in all its forms.
