2010 world wide stout?

    I stumbled into a dumpy B&W today on a whim. They had all the macros and a small craft area. I was surprised to find there a shelf full of two DFH beers - 2010 world wide stout and 2012 saison du buff. Both going for $9.99 a bottle. No idea how these stouts have been treated over the years. Does this seem like a good buy? Would any of you BAs snatch them up? I don't think they are going anywhere soon. Maybe snag one and see how it's doing?

    I would definitely snag a WWS and try it. If it's aged properly it should be excellent right now, especially after 4 years of ageing. If it sucks you're only out $9.99 - big deal. You'll never know if it's good unless you try one. Definitely worth the risk.

    2012 saison du buff I found in the bargain bin for $2 so I'd say that isn't a good buy.

    However it was interesting and tasty.

    WWS ages very well, it's arguably better with 2-6 years on it than when fresh

    I bought 2 cases of 2011 wws in 2011. They have indeed continued to improve with age. I have one every couple months. I will drive to Maryland and buy them if you don't want them.
