Looking for some information from all the East Coast BA's! Whats the bottle count of 2011 Black Magick? Is this a 12oz format bottle? Is is brewery only or does is see distribution? Cost per bottle?
I don't have any solid info but from what I understand some people got cases and everyone else got nothing. Its rare because of that. Good barrels, high abv, its a tan whale.
I think I remember hearing between 1,200 and 1,800 bottles. All of them are 12oz. It was distributed to Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Central Pa and Erie. I think it was in the $8-13 range for bottles. Hope this helps.
some made it out to NJ as well...at least at one shop anyway. i think my friends and i were the only people who knew what it was though bc we practically bought the whole case over a 2 week period. i guess the $10-11 price tag per 12oz deterred some other people from trying it.
I doubt that it is still hanging around Erie, however I'd check the Brewerie as it was sitting there for a long time due to it's price.
None left in Erie. (That I know of at least ). We were at the newly opened VoodooBrewring Pub last Sunday and talked to the brewer. He said this years release will be in about 7 more weeks. Will be Pub release only except for limited release at one bar in Philly that won a contest. So to get some this year you will have to make it to Meadville for the release. Their new pup is great check it out if you can.
