I just found a bottle of this in my cellar and forgot it was there...is this something worth trying to trade or is it not worth it? I have posted up the '09 old stock aged in bourbon and gotten no hits, so just curious if any different.

The Old Stock aged in Brandy Barrels is a new favorite. Take a look at my cellar and see what, if anything, interests you for a trade.

Unless I'm mistaken, this bottle was released late last year so it's only been in the wild for a handful of months. It's still on shelves in some places due to price point.

It's an amazing beer but not going to trade for anything other than $4$ on similar beers. And at a rating of 4.5 there aren't a lot of better beers out there. If you bought it I assume it was with the intention of drinking it. That is still a very good idea.

It just hit distro in Oregon. And, yeah, the NC reserve beers don't tend to move all that quickly off shelves.

I found a pair of them, going to obviously drink one, but didn't know if the other was worth trading or just drinking. That's why I'm checking. I had a bottle last year, but forgot I bought 3!

I thought that it was just released.
At least it was around here; only a few months ago.

I could be confusing it with another beer I have, but I swear I bought these like 7-8 months ago. I never put them on my cellar spreadsheet, and just found them. I have bought so much beer lately, I could be wrong though.

That beer is so amazingly good too. It might have some pull with the right set of eyes, but the majority of interests here are apparently funneled down into a dozen or so hot ticket releases.

Such an awesome beer, but price point scares a ton away. It's widely distributed which somewhat hurts its trade value. Keep it in the cellar a couple years for the heat to die down a little and enjoy the spoils. Its better to keep and cellar, because I doubt you can get fair trade value based on how well it tastes now, and how well that beer will age. God luck!

I think this is correct, I had a trade close to the beginning of this year that involved a bottle of this so i'd assume it's been out since late last year.

I've traded them for a black Tuesday and a grey Monday, both 2:1 if that helps
