40 degrees is a lot cooler than my cellar, which hovers around 52 degrees most of the year, warmer in summer... maybe I'd better try to rotate these into my beer fridge. I've still got nine 2011s and six 2012s. And they offer the same recommendation for §ucaba, I've got a bunch of those too.

Parabola was pretty good but not as great as Uncle Jacob, KBS and some others I've tried. To fair though I only had one bottle to split with a friend. May need more for future tasting line-ups.

I had an 11' last night and I think it's better fresh. The 11' was more boozy and lacked the chocolate and vanilla flavors the 12' had. It was still good just not as good as fresh.

Had a 2011 about 2 months about and this years about a week ago... Both are equally delicious for different reasons. The '11 was much more chocolatey and rich. This year's was much more barrel forward and intense than last year. Probably the best BA Imperial Stout out there right now.

I did a blind side by side with '11 and '12, both were equally awesome, and I honestly had trouble finding very much difference between them.

just had all three years and i will say that this beer is absolutely at its best fresh. To me this seems to be the case with all of their barrel aged beers, including abacus and the anny beers.

Real men drink Creme Brûlée and SA Triple Bock. Parabola rocks, baba-booey.

I'm not sure why Creme Brulee was brought up, but since it was, it tastes a lot like the dessert, which is remarkable, but it's not a good beer.

Anyway, we did the full vertical today, and I prefer the 12. But they're all close, and I could see anyone preferring any year at this point, it's all about what you want.

Don't listen to this guy, '11 is clearly the best and probably peaking within the next 6 months. '10 was really good but the nice FW barrel character was a bit muted. '12 was surprisingly good, they knocked the ABV down a tiny bit and it shows, and you gotta love that cococut/vanilla creme flavor straight from the barrel.
