Just received a 2012 bottle. Never had it before. Should I drink now or Cellar? If Cellar, what is the optimal time for best taste?

This is a tough one as the brewer themselves suggest waiting a year. Since you only have 1, thats what I would do. Though under most circumstances I'd say to drink it now.

I thought the 12 seemed a little young and awkward still, also the flavors seemed to leave a "gap" in the middle that *might* age out. I say might because I don't know for sure if it will- only time will truely tell. Deschutes recommends aging in the bottle because they feel it benefits it to do so according to the creator, and also it is too time consuming and costly to do so in fermenters at the brewery.

If you are dying of curiosity drink it now- it is not hard to come by. If you can't find more for a reasonable trade price send me a BM and I'll trade you some more $4$ of your locals.

I would drink it now or wait until the best after date on the bottle if you have never had it.

I have had a few of them fresh and love it, but I also stuck 4 away for next year. I'm new to "cellaring" any beer (I usually drink it right away) but my brothers have talked me into trying it. Have to get back to you next year with some notes.
