Holy shit! I grabbed two bottles at Big Top in Eagan today thinking I had more than enough time to buy a few more over the coming weeks. Starting to get worried.

 

No hunting necessary if you've got a good relationship with a well-stocked suburban bottle shop... "Hi, can you hold some Abyss and Bolt Cutter for me?" "Sure, come in whenever."

 

Still haven't found any. If anyone is down to trade a 2011 for a 2012, let me know.

Was able to pick a bottle up today. Picking up some beer for the Holiday and just happened to ask at the counter. He went to the office and came back with a bottle. Never hurts to ask.

This is one of the really delicate and tricky things about being a beer person in Mpls/St. Paul these days. I work in St. Paul, know and am recognized by all the "beer guys" at the stores there. I live in Minneapolis, and am recognized by the "beer guys" there as well. However, I don't buy enough beer at any one location to have a 'wink wink' relationship with the store. I spread it around quite a bit. Sometimes I hit on releases because I pop into all these different store--it's not easy and takes time--but sometimes I miss on things because I'm not 100% loyal to one store. How do you know how to play it?

 

I've got (maybe) 09, and 10 and 11, if anyone's interested in building a vertical. I need to scale this sh*t back.

 

This is my life as well. I think I might be able to get some in Duluth in a month or so. Did get a bolt cutter so it wasn't a total loss.

 

Although the game continues to change exponentially, we picked up a couple bottles of 2011 in Abyss in Duluth last April. Good stuff.
