What would be fair for these bottles if I were looking at 12oz bottles in return?

    Thanks in advance!

$4$ of other limited release beers that you guys agree upon. The '12 may ask something a bit more rare, but there is still plenty of '13 around and both saw some distro after Darkness Day.

Thanks for the insights! I was thinking along those lines. Do you happen to know what the Darkness was sold for so I have a reference point?

For 13 I paid any where from $18 (Darkness Day price) to $30. $20 to $25 was probably the norm for distro.

13 should be pretty easy to get, there were about 30,000 bottles. I agree with the above comment about $4$ for other limited release beers.

    I can't comment on 12s pricing at DD, but 13 was $18 and 14 was $20.

    Thanks the information everyone!

But I have the 2012 and 2013 and was looking to go from them to smaller format 12oz bottles. Call me crazy, I know.

    Cheers!

It's not crazy at all. Darkness is a fantastic beer, but it can be tough to find an opportunity to enjoy it due to the size of the bottle and ABV. Smaller format beers of equal quality can be consumed solo without need of additional drinkers.

I get it, drinking a whole bomber or 750ml by yourself can sometime be a lot of work. I recently opened a Rum King when my wife said she would help and ended up not. I wasted some. :slight_frown:

Put a stopper in the bottle and put it in the fridge. Should still drink fine after a day or possibly even two.

Doesn't work great with all beers, but works pretty well for stuff that is higher ABV, and lower carbed to begin with (big Bruery beers can easily be finished over 2-3 nights with little or no drop off in flavor/mouthfeel).

Interesting, never tried that because I figured with the carbination, it wouldn't work.

Thanks, will have to try. I guess I can also recarb with my co2 tank anyways if it doesn't.

    Works great with most beers.
Worked well overnight with a 32 oz Sucks (over 12 hours between openings).

    I would not suggest this.
We tried this once, and it made it taste even worse.
I realize once is the smallest sample possible though - so maybe it just didn't work for us.

I picked up a 2 pack of rubber stoppers at Haskell's for under $6.
    They work great.

I do this a few times a year too to trade bigger bottle for 12 oz bcbs or kbs. It's only me so sometimes the 22 and especially the 750s are unwieldy .
