hey guys, i recently moved and mixed my 2012 ba 4ds. a great trading partner sent me some ba 4ds over the years including a special 2 year barrel aged 2012, but i mixed them up. how can i tell them apart. the only difference is one has foil, is that the normal one

any input is greatly appreciated, i plan on drinking them soon

    cheers!

My 2012 BB4Ds and "2 Year" 2012 BB4Ds both have gold foil. No diff between the 2.

I still call bullshit on the 2 year barrel aged...Ive done side by side with them and absolutely no difference

I suppose you don't believe in the Pappy Plead The 5th either

It wasn't a rumor, it was openly discussed by Kuhnhenn staff at Winter Solstice last year. I had the 2012, the 2 year 2012 and 2013 side by side. 2012 2 year was noticeably better but not dramatically different. It was smoother than the rest. It didn't have any crazy barrel character to it or anything though.

I haven't done a side-by-side, but I've had them on consecutive nights and did think they were noticeably different. I agree with @Ferocious that the 2yr 2012 was much smoother, though I think I actually preferred the 1yr 2013.

And yes, I thought this was confirmed by a Kuhnhenn employee.

Oh, and @KevSal , I can confirm what everyone else is saying - there was NO difference in labeling between the 1yr 2012 and the 2yr 2012.

I remember the 2 year one to have too much wood, which was kind of overwhelming.
