Not sure how many of you are interested in this or not or what has been mentioned already as I do not get on here very often. I spoke to the Foothills rep at a beer festival yesterday about Barrel Aged Sexual Chocolate. I was told that it was supposed to be released this past weekend but due to a few set backs was delayed (He said some Federal Gov't issue with the label). He said they expect to be announcing the release date towards the middle of this week. He also hinted that the release should be in a couple of weeks. Lastly he said that Olde Rabbits Foot most likely will not be happening this year.

I can't wait. It will be a definite ISO post for me. Any rumors on the bottle count?

You know I did not even think to ask about the bottle count. If I was to guess I would say anywhere between 1100-1300. I am definitely looking forward to attending.

Cool. Another thread about BA Sexual Chocolate with no information!

I know you said you don't get on here much so I'll fill you in. People have been pre-trading this beer for the past 3 or 4 months even though there is no solid information on when the release will be. People have been told a bunch of different things from bartenders when they went to Foothills, confirming and denying that there will be any ORF this year. Jamie(the guy in charge of things at Foothills) said not to count out ORF being released this year, which some people think it hints that the beer is infected(really? I don't know why they think this), and he also said that the release would be announced in the next couple of weeks(this was a month or so ago).

I'll be attending as well. I just moved to Winston-Salem and this will be my first SC release as well as my first beer release in general so I'm doubly excited!

Sure, my information may not be rock solid, but you have no way of proving what I was told is incorrect. If for some reason in the next 2-3 weeks it is not released than fine I deserve it. But until then, I like to think positive about it and hope that BASC will be released in the next few weeks.

I'm not saying what you were told is wrong. I'm just saying there have been a lot of posts similar to yours with people posting what they've been told by different people from Foothills.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw some infected 2012 bottles for sale at 31 Flavors last night.

If it's in the barrels aging it will be released... eventually.

"I was at the brewery on Thursday drinking BA Seeing Double and a manager told me that ORF is def going to happen this year. However there is still no word on release dates."

And this was said in the other BASC thread. Gotta love it.

In the words of Jeff Albertson, "...lame and derivative."

I'm betting the third BASC thread will have the real info in it.

2012 BASC is out of the barrels and in a brite tank mellowing and getting ready for you all. I tasted it yesterday and it was delicious (imho). The bosses are working hard on getting a date lined up.
