2012 Bay Area Parabola

    Saw some folks asking about this in the Beer Release forum:

    I just picked up two bombers at Whole Foods @ Coddington Mall in Santa Rosa (north bay). They will also have a 5 gal keg on tap this Sunday, the 13th!

    I suspect Bottle Barn and possibly BevMo will carry it, but I'm not sure.

    Post where you found yours (in bottles or on tap) here in the Bay Area and help out those who are still searching for this goodness!

    I picked up a couple bottles at Perry's in Livermore today - yeah, they were a few bucks pricier than they're likely to be elsewhere when Bay Area distro finally gets going, but dammit, I needed those bottles NOW!

    Good call on starting this. Let's keep it going because I'm getting a little anxious hearing other places outside CA are buying it up. I have a feeling this weekend...if I find some on my ravenous hunt I'll definitely post here!

    I also picked up 2 bottles at Perry's. They had 3 in the middle isle. There is one left. They were 17.99 each. Damn his high prices. Supply and demand I guess.

    On tap in Santa Rosa, I might have to make a trip up there.

    It's on tap at the tap room in Whole Foods. It's in Coddingtown Mall off of Guerneville Road.

    Bottle Barn just received their shipment! 2 bottle limit but it's only $11.99 each.

    It's trickling into Bevmo all over the Bay Area at $15.99. Walnut Creek (N. Main St) has them and they're on the floor. You can call and if you talk to the right guy, they'll put some aside for you if you're going to pick up today.

    The guy I talked to asked me how many I wanted. I asked is there a limit, he said no how many you want. I could have walked with a case if I wanted that many.

    I was there yesterday, and the guy told me a 2 bottle limit. Luckily the gf was with me, so walked out with 4. $12 is a crazy good price.

    Had the same experience today, I was told there is a 2 bottle per customer limit. Still, the price is fantastic!

    Also stopped in at the Tap Room in the Coddington Whole Foods to enjoy a 10oz pour of Parabola for $8 - and damn but it was delicious! My buddy Greg said it smelled to him like "A cigar extinguished in molasses." If you stop in to try it out, make sure you find time to try the Racer 5 that's run through a Randall with Citra hops and jalapenos!

    The Bevmos do seem to be getting this in fits and starts - picked up a couple at the San Rafael store today (they probably still had it because the store is so damn hard to find - must've driven past it 3 times before I found it).

    Was lucky enough to grab the last bottle at Whole Foods Los Altos. As far as the Peninsula goes, I haven't seen anything north of Los Altos/Mountain View area. Should be hitting San Mateo County soon...if anyone is in the area.

    Ahhhh. If anyone sees anything in SF please post! I don't have a car :slight_frown: Just bought Union Jack and Double Jack today to enjoy (and mail to a friend!).
