2012 Bitches Brew

I saw that on Facebook and am pretty pumped about it!

 

anyone know how their previous batches are drinking? maybe time to pop a bottle or two

 

whats the release date?

 

If it is shipping to wholesalers next week, we could start seeing it late this month or early next month.

I loved the first batch. And my friend saved one for about 6 months and it was just as awesome. I have a 2011 put away. Since I only have the one I might just buy two 2012's, drink one, cellar one and maybe have a three year vertical for next year's release.

 

Still sitting on one from the original 2010 batch

 

As of early this year, I thought it was aging poorly (original bottling through "F"). I love Miles Davis and that album really got me into his stuff, so I naturally tried really hard to enjoy that beer when aged. Even my positive bias couldn't make it taste great.

 

Ditto.

I attributed it mainly to my evolving tastes though. There's quite a few beers I used to love that are just "meh" to me now.

 

I wonder if Michigan will get this now that we got over that bitch on the label thing

Bitches Brew '12 is now available from our brewery Tasting Room & Rehoboth brewpub! It's also already begun shipping to wholesalers, so you'll find it in the other usual spots over the next few weeks.

The 2010 is still pretty tasty, had one last month. I was able to find a place that put their whole case out on the shelf and got eight bottles of it when it was first released. 2011 though was much harder to find.

 

Funny thing for me is that I didn't even know what it was when it first came out in 2010. I was just on a DFH kick at the time and I saw it on the shelf at BevMo so I picked one up. Had I known how delicious and hard to find it would be I would have gotten more than one. I told my friend though and his dad happened to see it at a store so grabbed four for him.

The 2011 didn't seem to disappear as quickly but it was harder to find in the first place. I just happened to see it on the shelf at a grocery store, only one left so I snagged it (even though it was priced slightly higher, 11.99, than the 2010, which was 9.99)

 

You will be buying some in my opinion.

 

Can't wait to get some!

 

Just called my local store, getting some in on Tuesday or Wednesday!
