2012 Bourbon Angel's Share

Flat and overcarbonated is just one of the many inconsistencies still. Did everyone forget Mongo bottles already?
has anyone tried the new Bourbon Santa's? (I haven't had the latter yet, that one has been problematic for ages)

 

I have a bottle from last year but I'm a bit behind in the 'drink now' side of my beer supply.

 

I only bought one bottle of BA Santa's last year, but it was flat. I'm passing on this year's bottles.

 

My local bar bought 5 cases and they recalled them due to "issues"

 

Of the 2012 Angel's Share? What issues?

It's unlikely that it was the 2012 Bourbon Angel's Share batch. Maybe an older Brandy batch.

 

No it was the most recent batch.

 

That's great to hear. I have enjoyed a carbed bottle of Angel's Share once, I can't recall the year, but it was really good. If the majority of bottles come free with carbonation, I may just purchase one when I see it.
