2012 Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout

    Central Waters posted a pic of their bottling line made the comment that this years Bourbon Barrel Stout was aged a full year. Now I can't wait to get home and taste it!!

    yea i was gonna post that, they said they aged it twice as long so before it was just 6 months i guess! I cant wait to grab some and try it out. Definitely worth a couple extra bucks for an extra 6 months in the barrels!

    ISO: CW barrell aged stout, FT: Kern river winter ale same recipe as their 5th year anniv IIPA it is fresh

    Yeah, me too. Seriously. CW is sooo underrated. One of these years I hope to do a rare vacation: Go to Wisconsin in the winter! Combine a Marquette game with a CW anniversary party. . .awww yeah!

    Anyways, this will be my 3rd year doing that trade (well not the Serendipity part, but the CW/NG ~ BT).

    Let me reiterate something for all the WI BA's:

    If you have never had Black Tuesday (or Eclipse, or White Chocolate etc. . .) before, and you would like to try it: beermail me. I'll trade it to you for certain WI shelf beers, $4$.

    CW -bal stout, cherry stout or bw
    Tyranena (most brewers gone wild beers)
    NG (lots of ones).
    Blatz (only 1-2 cans at a time though, I don't want like 5-12 packs of Blatz for a BT)

    Great news! I was just thinking about CWBBS today and wondering when it would be out. Am I the only one who thinks this is an under rated BA stout?

    Glad to hear! I have tried offering some up in trades and those who haven't had it pass it up because of the "lower" 91 rating. Whatever- more for us in WI!

    This beer is god awful and I definitely will not be pleased if I continue buying it until the summer again.

    whenever some one tells me there's this sweet local beer that I need to try I take it have yet to be lead astray by anyone so far.

    Anyone know how CW plans on handling the PM replacements? I realize we're a month or two off for that. I just had my last 2011 Peruvian and it was a holy mess: sour, sweet, metallic

    I'm actually going/hoping to do several deals like that. . . Eclipse or Black Tuesday for (1) 750/22oz bottle + (8) CW/NG/Tyranena 12oz'ers.
