I'm getting a growler full of it tonight and am wondering how is it aging?

If it's anything like the rest of their beers it will age gracefully, especially in keg form. Had a bottle a couple months ago. Still an outstanding brew.

A growler from a freshly tapped keg? It's probably doing fine, but given what it is my guess is that, given the beer, it's probably a bit over the hill by now.

I have a bottle in my cellar that I still have yet to try, I hope it's holding up well!

Had both bottle and tap recently, it's still doing just fine.

Had a bottle on Friday night. Was very tasty, and I don't think it's changed all that much since release, but 22 ounces was too much for me to put down solo. It's a "big" 12.5% beer.

(MarkIntihar is so not proud of me right now.)

Glad to hear this is still doing well. I didn't mean to hold onto my bottle so long, but sometimes I have trouble keeping up with my constantly expanding cellar. I recently moved this one to the fridge, though, so it's coming up soon in the queue!

That doesn't necessarily mean it's not over the hill. King Henry is still tasting pretty good but it's over the hill.

just discovered a bottle of this that has been in my refrigerator since late January (along with a Black Xantus, Widmer '13 Chocolate Russian, and Lost Coast Winterbraun... holdouts from a birthday shindig for which I overbought and everyone else brought alcohol). Honestly not sure what to think of that since I really don't know how beers perform over time in such a cold environment... is my best bet to drink immediately, or is there no rush on this beer (and the others)?

I'm tempted to think that so long as it's just sitting there very little should be happening positively or negatively, but I am open to being very wrong about this. Either way, glad to hear that this beer is holding up well so far... and now I want to enjoy mine optimally given its current chilled state.

Well maybe you could interpret that phrase to mean that, but what I was saying is that it does not taste like it has declined / is over the hill. It very well may be, my sense memory could be off, I could have had The Only Good Remaining Bottle, etc. etc.

But my perception was that it was holding up well and had not noticeably declined in any appreciable manner.

I've done full verticals of all of the different FW BA beers and it is in my opinion that they don't age well because they really start losing the barrel characteristics more quickly than others. Parabola b1 was basically an ashy sort of chocolatey IS whereas the new bottle I had a few nights ago was a bourbon barreled wonder. Fantastic fresh.
