Figure 60 servings of roughly 12 ounces at 5$ a shot. 300$ for 20L. Seems right.

Definitely worth it. A keg of beer you know you're going to love. It's not cheap, but you sure as hell are not going to be disappointed in the least.

Did the math, an equivalent amount of BCS from 4pks would be $365, so yes thats a great deal!

Follow up - I picked up my keg today. Turns out they were out of BCS so they gave me a keg of 2012 Coffee BCS. I am ecstatic. I do want to save this for a bit before tapping I read some other posts about storing a keg, and some say it needs to be cold, others say room temperature is fine. Does anyone know how a beer like this would hold up in the keg, and what is the best way to store it.

Store it in the same place you have your BA Vanilla?

Dude, keep it cold! No way you want to even risk that thing going bad.

It won't go bad if it gets warm, its just a really big bottle of beer.. Its actually in a better state in the keg than the bottle. Now i wouldnt let it go warm/cold too many times but once won't hurt it.

Best way to store it is in a kegerator, you have one of those right? If not itll go to crap a couple days after you tap it

There isn't any issue with untapping as long as was previously mentioned you are using CO2. That is what it was shipped with and that is what is in the head space whether you drink half or not. There are plenty of people who partially drink kegs and cellar them year over year.

Don't think it will fit in the fridge.

When I do tap it, I actually might.

Got it thanks. I have a cellar that stays about 50 or so which is where I will leave it for now. My kegerator comes for Christmas.

With the cold months coming/here you should be ok. The only beers that shouldnt get warm are lower ABV ales and Lagers.
