Any word on when/if MN Craft Beer Week will be taking place this year? Just looked at the website and last year's edition took place right around this time last year. The website hasn't been updated at all...still just info from last year. Don't recall seeing anything posted anywhere else about this years edition either.

From what I have been told, St. Paul Summer Beer Fest will be the kick off to MN Craft Beer Week and the Pride Beer Dabbler will close the festivities (June 16th-23rd). I am sure there will be info on events and things in the near future.
There will be plenty of good beer there, for sure, but you won't find the special stuff you'll get at abr or winterfest. I've had a good time in the past. It will be interesting to see what the new local breweries will bring to the table.
Hi Guys, I started MN Craft Beer Week a few years back (along with the help of Mike from Town Hall and Heather from Hohenstein's Beverage). Currently, I lost my web guy and am working on updating my site. Sorry for the delay. If anyone knows an out of work web guy... This years MN Craft Beer Week will take place in June. St Paul Summer Beer Fest will be the kick off event. Beer Dabbler will also have a festival that week. Many local bars and breweries will be hosting events. We will have another (City Pages Best of: Award Winning) bicycle pub crawl. Passports will be downloadable off of the site instead of being a for purchase item. Reason being, I am trying to eliminate the need to charge you (or the venues/breweries) any $$$ to participate in this event. More details soon...
In the mean time, American Craft Beer Week starts Monday May 14th and goes through the 20th. I know a lot of bars are planning a lot of great events, which I imagine will start popping up on all kinds of forums. Here is what the BLB will be doing. http://www.facebook.com/events/360574230656331/
Just to clairify... This year MN will be able to celebrate MN Craft Beer Week at a different time than American Craft Beer Week. American Craft Beer Week does endorse and support MN Craft Beer Week. Some out of state breweries asked for a seperation of the 2 events. Look for mostly Hohenstein's repped breweryries to have things going on for AM Beer Week. Most of the rest of us are excited to see MN have its own week to celebrate. The first few years that we had this event, it was benefical to have our week take place during Am Beer Week. We were able to piggy back on the national attention that event recieves. Now, we have enough things going on in the world of beer to celebrate for 2 weeks out of the year! It's a great time to be a beer lover in MN!
